In compliance with the provisions of the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (hereinafter, the “LFPDPPP”), its Regulations, and other applicable provisions, ARGO STAR FREIGHT, S.A. DE C.V. (hereinafter, “ARGO” or the “Data Controller”), with its address at Blvd. Adolfo López Mateos 1817, 14th Floor, Colonia Merced Gómez, Álvaro Obregón Borough, Mexico City, Postal Code 01600, Mexico, hereby informs you that it is responsible for the processing and protection of your Personal Data, which will be processed in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, consent, information, quality, purpose limitation, loyalty, proportionality, and accountability established under the LFPDPPP.

 

USE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Personal Data collected by ARGO directly, through electronic means, through its website at https://argosfreight.com/, or through clients, suppliers, correspondents, agents, or third parties involved in the provision of logistics services may be used to: respond to requests for information and quotations; engage, coordinate, administer, update, confirm, and follow up on transportation, logistics, and freight forwarding services; manage shipping instructions and incidents; prepare and administer agreements, service orders, and related documentation; carry out invoicing, collection, payment, and accounting or tax control processes; maintain communications with clients, suppliers, representatives, carriers, customs brokers, correspondents, and other participants in the logistics chain; evaluate service quality; prevent fraud or unlawful acts; and comply with legal and contractual obligations or requirements issued by competent authorities.

For secondary purposes, ARGO may use your Personal Data to send newsletters, advertising, promotions, commercial information, conduct commercial prospecting activities, and satisfaction surveys. If you do not wish your Personal Data to be processed for any or all of these secondary purposes, you may indicate your objection by sending an-email to compliance@argosfreight.com. Your refusal to allow processing for such purposes will not affect the provision of the services contracted with ARGO.

 

The Personal Data that may be collected includes identification and contact information; tax and billing information; financial or asset-related data, when necessary; professional or employment-related data; and operational data related to the coordination, administration, and follow-up of logistics services. ARGO does not ordinarily request Sensitive Personal Data; if, exceptionally, it becomes necessary to process such data, ARGO will do so in accordance with the LFPDPPP and will obtain any consent legally required.

Due to the international nature of ARGO’s services, certain Personal Data may be disclosed or transferred, within Mexico or abroad, to carriers, shipping lines, airlines, warehouses, terminals, customs brokers, correspondents, logistics service providers, insurance companies where applicable, technology providers, and competent authorities, when necessary to provide the services, perform a legal or contractual relationship, or comply with legal obligations. When a transfer legally requires the Data Subject’s consent, ARGO will obtain such consent in advance.

 

You have the right to Access your Personal Data; request its Rectification when it is inaccurate or incomplete; request its Cancellation when appropriate; and Object to its processing in those cases provided for by law. To exercise your ARCO Rights, withdraw your consent where applicable, or limit the use or disclosure of your Personal Data, you must submit a request to compliance@argosfreight.com, indicating your name, a means for receiving a response, documents evidencing your identity and, where applicable, the legal authority of your representative, as well as a clear description of the right you wish to exercise. ARGO will notify you of its determination within a maximum period of twenty days from receipt of the request and, if the request is granted, will give effect to such determination within the following fifteen days, in accordance with the LFPDPPP.

 

ARGO’s website may use cookies and similar technologies for its operation, security, measurement, and improvement of the browsing experience. Where applicable, cookies or technologies that are not strictly necessary will be subject to the mechanisms enabled on the website for accepting, rejecting, or configuring preferences, without prejudice to technologies that are essential for the operation and security of the website.

 

ARGO adopts reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect Personal Data against damage, loss, alteration, destruction, unauthorized use, access, or processing.

If you believe that your right to the protection of Personal Data has been violated, you may file the applicable request or proceeding with the Ministry of Anti-Corruption and Good Governance (Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno), the competent authority for the protection of Personal Data held by private parties, in accordance with the LFPDPPP.

The Comprehensive Privacy Notice and, where applicable, any amendments to this Notice may be consulted at https://argosfreight.com/. Any amendment involving new purposes or processing activities subject to consent will be addressed in accordance with applicable law.
